Standard Setup/Service
If your guitar doesn't play quite right, doesn't keep in tune, or is simply too hard to play and doesn't feel comfortable, a standard setup is probably more than enough to give it its "spark" back.
Fret Level & Dress (Inc. Standard Setup)
Frets condition is often overlooked as it can be difficult to evaluate and measure, but can make all the difference to how the instrument plays and feels.
I always recommend for the frets to be levelled with every full service.
Nut Replacement
The nut plays a very important role on your guitar.
A correctly cut nut, made of dense material such as bone, can greatly improve the tone, sustain (open strings) and intonation.
Acoustic Guitar Saddle Replacement
If some strings on your acoustic guitar start buzzing on some frets, or are producing a rattling noise, or the intonation is out, the saddle is probably worn in places, or loose in its slot, and might need replacing.
Refret
Refretting a guitar (or partial refret) is required when the frets are worn to the point that they can no longer be levelled and dressed, or have dings on them caused by the strings rubbing and applying pressure on a particular spot.
Refretting is a lengthy and expensive procedure, but you will end up with a guitar that plays and feels like brand new.

Pickup Replacement
If you wish to drastically change or experiment with the tone and character of your guitar, simply replacing the pickups is the way to go.
Re-wiring
You might want to modify your guitar's electrics, for example change the combination of the pickups, or replace the original pots and caps to achieve a particular tone.
There are many inexpensive mods available that can transform your sound.
