Copper Shielding

Shieldnig the guitar's electrics is sometimes necessary to reduce the background static noise often produced by electric guitars, when plugged into an amplifier.

Shielding the electrics includes the following:

• Covering the inside pockets of all the electrics, including pickups and volume & tone controls, with copper

• Covering the underside of the pick guard with copper

• Re-solder all components' earth wiring
